Rumours in Vicenza fair suggested that green would be the colour for this 2018 and we took it quite seriously.
Green to us sounds like a good choice and "Green & Natural" could very easily become our Manifesto.
It is true that the favourite gem of the moment is undoubtedly emerald...windows of Gems traders in Vicenza were full of emeralds in different sizes, quality and cut.
Emerald is a fascinating gem so rich in hues and shades and with the typical "jardin" inside , inclusions and fissures with a mossy appearance. It is the king for sure in our precious garden of colour stones!
A few notes about it: Emerald is a variety of beryl , with a hardness of 7.5/8 in the Mohs scale so a delicate gem, much more delicate than His Majesty and Emperor the Diamond.
Colombia is by far the world's largest producer of emeralds, constituting 50–95% of the world production, with the number depending on the year, source and grade. Emerald production in Colombia has increased drastically in the last decade, increasing by 78% from 2000 to 2010. Rare "trapiche" emeralds are found in Colombia, distinguished by ray-like spokes of dark impurities.
Last year we have been proposing our Ellaz line with rough emeralds and it has been a "must have" during the Winter Campaign .....in our BRUSI style so on pink gold and white diamonds all around...

...and also proposed a spectacular Saffron ring with a large emerald as central stone and again white diamonds around , treated with black rodium to give a touch of BRUSI again. Thus resulting to be a piece for a Gala event or a night at the Opera but also something to wear more easily with an every-day outfit. We always imagine our jewels as accompanying us in the different moments of the day. We should feel confident to wear them all the time, never feeling that something is wrong or not fitting the situation.
If we wanted to be green this time it should be noted instead that we are NATURAL all the times, this meaning that our jewels reject simmetry, geometry and manipulation of all sorts. Our lines are smooth and irregular just like the sloping of the hills and our colours are soft and undefined just like the marvellous colours of Nature. BRUSI jewels shouldn't be worn to "show off" but to feel good and bright.
